NASSAU COUNTY HOMEOWNER RESOURCES
Nassau County property taxes by school district and village
How assessments compare across Nassau County school districts, hamlets, and villages. Every page summarizes at least 25 one-to-three family homes; none describes a single property.
Area coverage is being loaded. Area pages appear here once an assessment roll has been imported and summarized. In the meantime, look up your own property or read the guide to understanding your Nassau assessment.
How to read these pages
Each area page summarizes the County’s published assessment roll for one school district or one hamlet or village: the median and range of County market values and assessed values for one-to-three family homes, the typical assessment ratio, and, where County payment records are available, the median recurring tax payment. Areas with fewer than 25 residential parcels on the roll are not published, because a median of a handful of homes says little.
A median describes the area, not your home. Use it to see where the County places nearby homes, then check your own record and compare it with homes that are genuinely similar. The roll year and status are shown on every page; a tentative roll can change before it becomes final.
