Terms of use

The terms for using goodgrieves.com. Last updated October 18, 2026.

Agreeing to these terms

By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

Information, not advice

Good Grieves gives general information about Nassau County property assessments and grievances. It is not legal, tax, or appraisal advice, and using the site doesn’t make us your lawyer, appraiser, or representative. For advice about your situation, talk to a qualified professional.

Not the County

Good Grieves is independent of Nassau County, its Department of Assessment, and the Assessment Review Commission. Only the County can change your assessment, and you file through County systems yourself.

Accuracy

Records, sales, estimates, and calculations come from public sources and our own models. They can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Estimates and savings figures are illustrations, not promises. Check important details with the County before you rely on them, and always confirm deadlines with the County.

No guarantee of results

We can’t promise that a grievance will lower your assessment or your taxes, or by how much.

Our service

Our flat-fee grievance service is not open yet. Joining its waitlist signs you up for nothing and doesn’t authorize anyone to act for you. When the service opens, it will come with its own terms, which you would see and accept before paying.

Using the site

Please don’t misuse the site: no automated scraping or bulk downloading, no attempts to break or overload it, and no use of it to harass anyone. You may share links and quote figures with credit to Good Grieves.

Our content

The site’s design, text, charts, and code belong to Good Grieves. Public records remain public; our presentation and analysis of them is ours.

Limits on liability

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Good Grieves isn’t liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its information, including a missed deadline or a decision you make about a grievance.

Other websites

We link to County, State, and other sites we don’t control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
